I'm at my parents house down here, about 30 miles or so from the Smokey Mountains. It's so beautiful and we're going around with light jackets on, so I'm enjoying that.
Anyway, I just wanted you all to know why I won't be commenting or posting this week. I'll see what I can do about posting some of the pictures I get this week once we get back.
What talent do you have that you wish more people would recognize?
People? Why do I care if people recognize my talent? I let God be my agent. He knows my heart and if my talents are being used for Him then He will give me the opportunities to grow them and use them more. If they aren't, He will diminish the talent and use of it. I know this to be true. When I was younger, I got very prideful of my voice and that I could sing. Every time I got up to sing though, I would mess up drastically and then I dropped out of singing except in the midst of choirs for a good many years. That was not too long after Jeremy and I were married. I got back into it about 3 years ago after a lot of praying. Now, every single time I get up to sing a special in church, I spend a lot of time in prayer beforehand. First, to get in the right frame of mind of that this is for God's glory and not my own, second, to give my voice over to God, and third, so that who ever needs to hear the message in the song will hear.
What have you tried in life that you just weren't very good at?
Writing music. I come up with lyrics, but putting them to music just eludes me. I enjoyed music theory in college and understood it all, but putting it together out of my own head just doesn't happen. I have accepted that it is one of the music talents that I didn't receive and that is fine with me.
What products can't you live without?
Submitted by galindafied.
Ummm, soap, shampoo, food. Not exactly sure what this question wants. Does it want specific product brands or just a type of product? I don't stick to brand names usually. The only one I pretty much stick with is my toilet paper brand... Cottonelle. Everything else is subject to whatever is on sale unless I find out that other brands aren't as good.
James always likes to be able to do what Amie is doing unless it's too girly. He came back from Grandma's house on Sunday and found out today that Amie has her little blog, so he wanted me to make one for him as well. I already knew he would, so I had already planned to do it.
He picked out his name for it and all. Meet Little Computer Geek!
How often do you call your parents?
About once a month or so, but my mom calls me at least once a week. We both have Verizon and can call each other for free, so she calls whenever she has a little time in her week here and there. Last week when she called, she was having a bad day and asked if I was cheerful. It was the day I had finished Noelle's dress, so my first big sewing project (all four Easter dresses) was done. So I was fairly cheerful. She and I talked sewing and she really enjoyed being to share that with me, I think.
Show us a smile.
I just got this picture off of my old digital camera. It took a while to figure out how to get the camera to work so I could get the pictures off of it, but I got them off yesterday.
This is when AnnaBeth got into the make-up about Dec. 2005. Please excuse her hair, I think this was just after a scissor episode.
When you were little, how old did you think you'd be when you got married? Were your predictions accurate?
I thought I'd get married when I was 20 as that is when I thought you were grown up and "had" to get married... and I was married a month and a half before my 21st birthday, so I guess I was right.
When I was little, I thought I'd have children starting when I was 25 and ending before I was 30, BUT I wanted 6 kids. LoL As a child, my ambitions were a little off. I actually had Amie at age 22 and Noelle was born when I was 28.
What are you ashamed of?
The way VOX keeps moving everything around on the homepage! AUGH! I finally get used to it and they change it. FIND SOMETHING GOOD and STICK TO IT!
Yeah, I'm a bit frustrated right now... why do you ask?
I gotta get back to my sewing and schooling.
