When was the last time you drove out of town?
We used to take road trips often. On rainy Saturdays, we used to just drive around, usually exploring an area we had never been before. Unfortunately, gas prices are way too high for us to do that often. To go anywhere, we need a good reason. The last time we went somewhere was Saturday, April 19th. We went up north of Chicago to check on a beautiful piano and purchase it. (We still need to figure out a way to get it from there to here.) Before that, our trip to NC. The next time we plan on going somewhere is in June for a family reunion. That will be our summer vacation as well and we'll be staying here for the rest of the summer.
What is your definition of cheating?
Not my actual definition, but I'm feeling cheated out of QotDs because they've had this question up for a week. As well as the VoxHunt thing... I want it to change like it used to.
Please, give us another. I sometimes enjoy answering them or sharing my pictures.
Check it out! She does the paintings herself and she'll be adding on some of her quilling sometime too. All because I showed her Shush's site after I bought my pocket pixie and kitteh rice friend (which I use very often.)
Oh, and Shush, that upcycled bag is so useful in my sewing kit. THANKS!
Failure is inevitable... Show us some failure.

Jeremy was making some chili and started to put the chili powder into the meat before adding the meat to the big pot of tomatoes and beans... and this happened.
The sprinkle top on the chili powder fell off. He managed to get enough out to finish making the chili, but it was a bit spicier than we are used to... which was extremely yummy.
I guess this wasn't really a failure since we were able to make it work, but it was the only thing I could think of that I had a picture of.
What would you like to do more of?
Traveling. I would love to be able to just take leisurely road trips. I like driving and stopping at whatever we see interesting as we go: a state park, a historical site, a waterfall, an outlet mall (if we have a little money). Have a bit of an agenda, as in where we are staying for the nights and maybe a few activities, but mostly just have it relaxed and simple, taking lots of stops and walking around.
What have you lost that you wish you still had?

pre-baby stomach and backside
Ok, so for a long time I was okay with the way I looked, but lately I've been feeling fat and awful. We have a very small house and no room for exercise and it's so hard getting out with all the kids. The house we had bought had a huge living room, so I bought a workout DVD (Ballet Bootcamp, I love it!) and was able to do stuff in there. The kids did a lot of it with me as well. I feel like this winter has taken a toll on my body and I still can't get out. It is so rainy right now. I'm so extremely frustrated.
and my regular blog has our vacation post on it, if you feel like checking it out.
Other than TeamVox, who was the first person you added to your Vox neighborhood? What made you want to be their neighbor?

Phisch! I've been reading her blog for years and when she started checking this place out, I came over too.
